Coaches from the PhD Science team expertly guide educators to apply what they learn in Professional Development sessions to their own classrooms and schools. Through modeling, observation, and recommendations for customizing the curriculum, Great Minds® coaches help teachers improve implementation and help leaders develop effective ways to support, understand, and evaluate classroom practices.

Coaching Sessions

All sessions are available in virtual and in-person formats unless otherwise noted. Prerequisites to purchasing coaching sessions or bundles include Launch PhD Science Levels K–5 and Lead Implementation for Administrators.

COACHING SESSIONS

Guided Observation for Leaders

(IN PERSON ONLY)

Implementation Support

Implementation support sessions, designed for teachers and leaders, last 60 minutes and accommodate up to 30 participants. These sessions are only delivered virtually.

Coaching Bundles

THE OPTIMAL COACHING BUNDLE

Estimated commitment of 3.5 days for administrators and 6 hours for teachers | Supports up to 30 teachers and instructional leaders

Leaders will identify key trends and plot improvements in teacher instruction throughout the year, while teachers will focus on creating and managing a classroom culture in which students are comfortable asking questions, making observations, working in groups, conducting investigations, and more.

STUDENT-DRIVEN CLASSROOM BUNDLE

Estimated commitment of 2.5 days | Supports up to 30 teachers and instructional leaders

Educators uncover easily manageable and measurable actions that they can take to enhance a student- and inquiry-driven science classroom. While teachers gain comfort and familiarity with the curriculum, they focus on building a classroom culture where students can, without judgment, share ideas, ask questions, work collaboratively, and conduct investigations.

This bundle will allow teachers to create a classroom culture that develops highly transferrable skills—they will walk away with tools, tips, and strategies they can use in any student-driven classroom, regardless of subject area.
